Dmitry Lavrentjev is one of the brightest phenomena in Latvian contemporary art. And now his works are represented by ArtAlea.
Each individual author's work - whether it is painting, lithography, collage or sculpture - is passionate impulsiveness and psychological tension fixation where intuition and the subconscious level is felt by primordial impulse, a mystical, magical power. Juicy, intense color contrasts, "ferocious" thick strokes and demonstratively sloppy, vibrating sharp line is a constant in his artworks. Sometimes his works are defiantly grotesque, sometimes - touching spiritual, but always - surprisingly easy and ironic.
Dmitry works are in different collections in Latvia and abroad, proving his artistic significance of both the local and international context.
